Hangzhou International Conference Center, designed by the famous
Canadian architect Carlos Ott and located on the north bank of
Qiantangjiang River of Ganjiang District, the central core of
Qianjiang New Town, is the symbolic building of Qianjiang. The
project consists of a 19- storey main building, two podiums and a
2-storey basement with a total area of 117630 m2 to host large scale
international conference and other functions designed for platinum
five-star hotel, such as conference, dining, performance, lodging,
entertainment, relaxation, etc. The project simulates the annual
energy consumption of the building, compares the economic value of
three feasible air conditioning options, calculates the atrium
ventilation and analysis the feasibility of using natural
ventilation and provides the operation proposal. The project works
out the additional first cost payback period, and operational cost
of several air conditioning programs. The natural ventilation
proposed by our project, which is domestic advanced, guarantees the
high quality indoor air condition and reduces energy consumption.
