Energy Efficiency Project for Shanghai Foster Co.

   Foster Shanghai Co. covers an building area of 11123m2 including main building, 5727m2 and accessory building, 5395m2 with the height of 26.4m. The building requires comfort air conditioning and fresh air in summer and winter. The project summaries the principles and features of air-cooled heat pump, water-cooled heat pump and ground source heat pump and estimates the air conditioning costs of these three schemes. Based on this, we compare the economic values and auxiliary heat source of these scheme, analyses the operation economic value of hot water system and calculate the air conditioning load. The study shows that the water-source heat pump is the most economical scheme and natural gas boiler is recommended as the auxiliary heat source of the air conditioning heating process. The study also works out how much energy to be saved by using solar central heating technique, calculates the first cost payback period and provides the proposal of using natural gas boiler system as hot water supply scheme.
