Energy Efficiency Design for Zhenjiang Experimental Public Building

Shanghai Pacific Energy Center

Zhenjiang energy efficiency experimental public building covers a building area of 902.34m2, with the height of 15m, four-storey. By the Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings, the annual heating, ventilation, air conditioning, hot water supply, lighting and electricity power should be reduced by 50% without changing indoor environment parameters. The project studies the thermal performance and energy efficiency method of the envelope, compares the three air conditioning option and simulates the natural ventilation. We also study the various lighting methods, select the light source, provide the lighting control scheme and discuss the feasibility of the application of solar energy for the public buildings in Zhenjiang. We select the VRV air conditioning scheme because of its high economic value and feasibility; prove the advantage of atrium natural ventilation in the aspect of improving interior air comfort and air conditioning energy efficiency; arrange the exterior door and window, and select the light source, lamps and lighting control to save 10% lighting energy consumption.
